Today we decided have an early happy hour at BroMyGod and decided to open up the Clique Vodka that was sent to us. We’re a big fan of Red Bull Vodkas and Screwdrivers so we stuck to those two drinks (see below). But Clique also provided us with some drink recipes you can try out at home. This stuff isn’t all that expensive and it’s pretty good. You can get more recipes and new from them on their site here. If you want to see some awesome photos form parties or hot ladies with the vodka follow @CliqueVodka on twitter.
Here are their delicious drinks. Update: We tried the Smokey Eye Mary…that’s one delicious bloody mary
The first component of this drink involves a simple vodka infusion. Never done one before? No problem- this is the prefect time for you to get creative with your cocktails- that way if you don’t want to broadcast all your other personal resolutions of this year to the world- you can at least retell your first mixology experiment. Which (went so well), that you just may have found a new hobby.
Zest 4 large lemons with a standard vegetable peeler, being careful to get only the bumpy skin, and gently scrap off any white pith with a knife (pith will impart undesirable bitter flavor to the infusion). Add the zest to an empty Clique Vodka bottle and top with 20 oz of Clique Vodka. Shake very well initially, and 3x per day for 3 days- until Clique Vodka has turned a brilliant yellow color and smells tartly of lemon. Strain and funnel back into original bottle.
When you are ready to make the “Executive Decision,” just fill a tall glass with ice, add 1 oz Lemon Infused Clique Vodka and 2 drops blue curacao. Top with sprite, and stir.
Use a spoon to gently peel the thin skin off a fresh ginger finger (one of the little protruding pieces of the ”hand”), and cut off 4-5 thick slices. Toss them in a cocktail tin with 1 1/4 oz Clique Vodka, and press repeatedly with a cocktail muddler or any kitchen utensil with a flat end on the handle. Strain the liquid into a rocks glass filled with ice, and top with pear nectar. Give the cocktail a light dusting of grated cinnamon and stir. A great combination of sweet, spice and heat, the “Pear-a-normal” is a great way to warm up this winter.
In tall collins glass, add: 1 oz Clique Vodka, 1/2 oz Stirrings Pomegranate Liqueur, 1 oz blueberry acai juice, 1 oz goji berry juice, and 1 oz cranberry juice. Roll, by pouring contents into a cocktail tin and back again to mix.
In a tall glass with ice, add: 1 1/4 oz Clique Vodka, 2 dashes of worcestershire sauce, 3 dashes of tabasco, 1/4 oz lime juice, and fill with tomato juice. Pour contents into a cocktail tin, or another glass, while you prepare the flavored rim (if you rim the glass first, the seasoning will fall off when you pour it into the cocktail tin to mix). To get the smokey rim around your glass, add equal parts freshly ground black pepper, smoked salt, and smoked paprika to a small plate or saucer and stir to mix. Rub the juicy segments of a lime around the outer rim of a glass and then dip in the mixture to coat. Pour your cocktail back into your rimmed glass, and garnish with anything you like! I know celery stalks, citrus, and olives are standard garnishes, but pickled vegetables, shrimp, and even bacon strips go very well in bloodies also.
